Looking ahead at FinMango's new mission of solving complex problems that endanger the financial health of young adults in transition, we face an extremely difficult challenge: evolving our brand, work flows, and community to resonate with that new direction.Â
As a first step in addressing this challenge, we drafted a master plan (mngo.org/plan) and released a new website (finmango.org). As a next step, we plan to progress into a learning organization. To kick-off, we’re launching…Â
An internal working group (led by Katherine Lordi) to probe new organizational structures, plans, and processes.Â
An external working group (led by Bruna Chixaro) to develop a learning agenda and implement a proof of concept pilot project.Â
Members are being carefully selected based on their subject-matter expertise, availability, and cultural fit. If you’re an expert (Financial Inclusion, Financial Health, AI, Data Science, Operations, etc.) and would like to help, please reach out to Katherine (katherine@finmango.org) or Bruna (bruna@finmango.org). Communication will be asynchronous (with few meetings) as we want global representation.Â
Overall, we’re chasing one ambitious goal: financial equity for all. And while the problem is complex, we’re optimistic. We know how to solve it thanks to our approach and generous supporters. Personally, I have never been more fired up to support a global community who are rewriting the narrative around young adults. You inspire me daily, and I can’t wait for us to disrupt systems together.
